Using a simple site design, we incorporated the client’s logo, photography, and copy to create a user experience with all the bells and whistles for the local dining community.
Our Approach
Using a simple site design, we incorporated the client’s logo, photography, and copy to create a user experience for the local dining community. We assisted with efforts to push menu content out to directory listings like Google and Yelp, so that frequent menu updates could be completed hassle-free. Ordering online was easily accomplished by having the website hold hands with the Toast platform.
To help with search engine rankings, we employed microdata, which communicates with search engines to tag what page elements ARE, versus metadata, which conveys what the content is about. This tells the search engines what the pages are about, and was particularly valuable for the Menu pages of the site.
Results
The Friesian’s website was happily up and running before the restaurant’s grand opening. Our attention to customer service was key in terms of providing this fast site turnaround. We provided client training on the WordPress platform so that simple updates could be taken internally, and we continue to advise on marketing efforts.
